status quo 

if i continue to do what i am doing today, who will i be in five years?

i would be an unhappy, unsatisfied, stressed, anxious, bored thirty-five year old climbing the corporate ladder in an industry that i love working for people i never want to be.
i would be finding satisfaction and happiest outside of my work place. i would pour my heart and soul into helping others and making sure they achieve their dreams and goals. i would continue to develop & inspire the people in my life to be better humans. i would continue to push myself, never stop learning & growing.

what do i wish i spent more time doing? 

travelling. hiking. yoga. biking. running. gymnastics. getting strong. exploring. adventures. photography. trying new things. pushing myself out of my comfort zone. being confident. feeling enough and worthy. writing. reading. being loved the way i deserved to be.

perfect day

snapshot of your perfect day. 

there are a million things i could write about what my perfect day would look like but who i am today, won't be who i am tomorrow, next week, month or a year from now. at the end of the day, any day it doesn't matter what my perfect day looks like but more about how it feels.

what matters is that my perfect day will be mindful & present, with pure intent & generosity, full of authenticity & gratitude and surrounded with only things and people who made me feel good. a perfect day would mean i made a positive difference in someone's life. my perfect day is a day i do what i feel like with absolutely no guilt, no regret and never lying in bed at the end of the day questioning "what if".

but if i had to tell you what my perfect day would look like based on who i am today, it would go something like this.

waking up up after sleeping through the night next to my boyfriend. rolling over and immediately smiling and laughing because he would be doing something ridiculously weird. spend the first few moments of the new day being little spoon (teasing the shit out of him) with the sun shining through the window and enjoying the moment with nowhere to be and nothing to do.

the day would start out with practicing meditation and yoga while coffee brewed. work for a few hours on my laptop from home while eating breakfast and then off to the gym to do a lift. the work that i do would not feel like work but something that i am extremely passionate about, it would make me feel satisfied. it would be something that evolved around giving back and helping others.

followed by a healthy lunch and off to explore and adventure with or without my boyfriend. it could be anything, something active, something different, something new. it would be sunny and hot but not so hot it would be uncomfortably sweaty. the air would be fresh and crisp and the sky would be blue and clear. And somewhere along the way catching the most beautifully coloured sunset.

the day would end with my boyfriend and i cooking dinner together,  and the night would end with us laughing uncontrollably and until our bellies ached. i would fall asleep snuggled next to my boyfriend feeling safe and cared for.

how am i inservice, today?

being the leader i wish i had. being a person who seeks to understand. encouraging others to be true. sharing pieces of me. being honest, open and vulnerable. being the best human being i possibly can be. living my life to the fullest. by being my best self and not letting anyone else settle for less.

dug deep, found answers that reinforced why my values and beliefs are what they are.
