off the grid at lake easton

IMG_9116.JPG

lake easton

our first camping trip together

going off the grid, no laptop, no wifi, no data, no gps.

lake easton

only one hundred and ninety nine miles, a 3 hour and twenty seven minute drive away from home, and about an hour south east from seattle.

but it was all we needed.

cost

$77 USD for two nights, wednesday to friday

availability

good during weekdays, booked solid for weekends.

amenities

good, bathrooms were clean, they had a playground, and basketball court. water taps and garbage bins were easily accessible

noise level

high, right along the highway and can consistently hear the cars

bug level

low, did not even have to spray bug spray

customer service

good, the lady that checked us in was super friendly and even let us change sites

fire pit

there is a fire pit, and the website said there was no fire ban but there was.

hammocks

lots of trees for the perfect hammock set up.

privacy between sites

not too bad, but you will see people walking, driving and biking by.

lake access

less than ten minutes by bike

sunset viewpoint

yes on route to the lake, less than five minute bike ride.

value

meh, i guess for the price you can’t really complain

recommendation

no, we probably wouldn’t go back due to the highway noise and if there were bugs and a fire ban on at the same time, we probably would have left early.

yes, he cooks better than me.
